A brighter, more empowered future

Besides gracing the unique landscape with its unmatched beauty, this unlikely bird has provided a livelihood to the local people of this area for decades.
Farming with ostriches takes many caring hands. People have long worked, lived and brought up families on these farms for many generations. There are few other opportunities for work so the great need for education and new skills to uplift and improve this rural community is huge.
Klein Karoo International is an integral part of the viability and welfare of this whole area and sees this community involvement as very much part of its ethos.

Doing good in order to do great

Klein Karoo International actively endeavours through different BBBEE empowerment and community projects to uplift our previously disadvantages people and communities.
